    Taxonomy


    Definition:
    A preferred term with a meaning wider in scope than the term in question, and shown superordinate to the latter in a hierarchy. abbreviated bt.

    Taxonomy


    Definition:
    In a hierarchical taxonomy structure, Broader Term or BT indicates that there is a term with a wider meaning than the term given. Conversely, narrower term or NT indicates that there is a more specific concept than the one listed.
